DVD Review: DEAD SEASON
DEAD SEASON is the latest zombie flick to come along that puts human survivors up against some hungry zombies.
We follow two people who flee to an island for safety after some kind of outbreak occurs and what they find are other survivors who seem to be a little twisted. In fact, some of these survivors are playing deadly games of death with each other and now these two get caught in the middle of this chaos!
Dead Season has everything any zombie lover looks for plus a little extra, lots of action! There’s one flaw as far as I’m concerned and that’s the fact the movie really doesn’t go into detail what actually happened with this outbreak, we just have zombies running around crazy in the beginning of the movie, but I’m ok with that. There’s plenty of action that some zombie movies lack plus we get some pretty cool kill scenes along with the whole human against human side story. It’s almost like, once certain characters get away from the “walkers” yes they call them that in the movie, they have to fight off other survivors who want to be the last person standing.
The scenery and location for the movie is awesome. The camera work is well done, capturing everything we need, between all the blood, guts and gore and the mixture of the action scenes. The acting is pretty good although it may be the weakest part of the movie, I might blame that on character development though because there wasn’t much of that. That’s not much of a big deal to me since all I want to see in a movie like this is some cool zombies “walkers” and we get both kinds, the slow moving ones and the fast ones (which are my favorite.)
Bottom line is, Dead Season is a pretty cool zombie flick so be sure to check this one out! The movie drops on DVD on Tuesday, July 31st.
