Maria Howell Joins ‘THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE’
Wow! Talk about a casting frenzy this past week and it isn’t slowing up any! Actress Maria Howell has now joined the cast of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE as Seeder, a former victor from District 11, show competes in the 75th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the Quarter Quell.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
Howell joins Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Lynn Cohen, Bruno Gunn, Toby Jones, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Amandla Stenberg, Willow Shields and fellow newbies Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit and Alan Ritchson,
Catching Fire will be directed by Francis Lawrence and will hit theaters on November 22, 2013.
